Let’s face it — one of the most difficult jobs in the world has got to be newspaper editor. You’re publishing every day, at nearly breakneck speed. There are going to be errors that sneak through.
This story was intended to honor a local pilot for his contributions to the “Angel” flight network, a very worthy charitable organization that provides free air transportation to patients who need access to specialized medical facilities.
The headline slipped through as “Angle.” Of course, angle is a real word that spellchecker wouldn’t highlight as an error.
Yikes. Let’s hope they fixed this one before it made it to the print edition. I’m sure the pilot’s mom wanted to send copies to everyone she knows!
